With every new year, comes big changes in technology. Over the recent years, devices like fitness trackers, and smart scales have provided valuable insight about our bodies, and helped us live healthier lives. But what about the health of our skin? The answer is right here in our in depth HiMirror Review, showing you how a Smart Mirror is revolutionizing the skin care world.
What is the HiMirror?
The HiMirror is the beauty break through device that’s like having your own private 24-7 beauty consultant. The HiMirror works by analyzing your skin, giving you personalized recommendations, and monitoring to get results.
Over the years, the HiMirror has evolved to include many more exciting features, to make your beauty routine as easy as pie. For this HiMirror review, I got to check out their latest version, the New HiMirror Plus+ which features Amazon Alexa voice assistant. So is this smart mirror device right for your skin care needs? Lets find out in our in depth HiMirror Review.
What Does the HiMirror Plus + Do?
Skin Analysis
The most important feature of the HiMirror is the skin care analysis tool. You simply snap a photo of your face with the HiMirror, and it goes to work. The HiMirror checks for issues with Wrinkles, Fine Lines, Complexion, Dark Circles, Dark Spots, Red Spots, and provides an in depth assessment of your skin’s condition. For me, one of my biggest skin issues was red spots on my chin and forehead.
Next it provides suggestions of products that can effectively target problem areas, and help you reach your beauty goals. The HiMirror skin care plans are based on the perfect Skin Index Synthesis. It considers a combined assessment of skin factors including Health, Clarity, Firmness, Texture, and Brightness. My biggest skin care goal according to the HiMirror, is improve the clarity of my skin. Now that I know what to target, I have added a cream cleaner to my beauty routine to remove residue left behind by my makeup, and reduce my breakouts!
Historical Tracking System and Skin Care Routine
Now that I know what improvements I need to make to my skin, I monitor my progress with the HiMirror. Every time I use it, I snap a new photo, and HiMirror shows a graph of my improvements over time. The smart mirror makes suggestions of products to add to my skin care routine, and can even create a beauty to do list so that I don’t forget my weekly mask. With the HiMirror Plus+, you can use the Amazon Alexa voice feature, and ask Alexa to edit your to do list.
Beauty Box & Makeup Studio
The HiMirror also includes a new feature called Beauty Box. This feature lets me scan in my skin care products, and over time will tell me if they are improving my skin. The new version HiMirror Plus+ uses Amazon Alexa voice commands, so you can add products to your amazon shopping cart or reorder right through your Smart Mirror.
Another unique feature of the HiMirror is called the Makeup Studio. It gives you a virtual makeover so you can see how you would look in 3 different makeup styles. It also has 8 built in makeup tutorials that make it super easy for people like me to apply a professional looking face of makeup.
Smart Ambient Makeup Lighting and Magnifying Settings
When doing this HiMirror Review, I was most excited about using the LED light and magnifying settings. I don’t know about you, but I really strain when doing my eyebrows and eyelashes, and having built in zoom really helps get them into the perfect place.
For me, one of the coolest feature of the HiMirror Plus+ is that it can simulate the lighting settings for 5 different locations. This helps you adjust your makeup to look amazing wherever you’re going. The settings include: Sunset, Party/Restaurant, Shopping Mall/Market, Brightly Lit Office, and Sunny Day Outdoors. Having my makeup look good while outdoors was a struggle before in my dimly lit bathroom, but not anymore with the HiMirror.
Entertainment Zone and Additional Features
The entertainment zone on the HiMirror is a nice little bonus feature, where you can do everything from play music to check the news. You can also leave yourself little audio/video “mirror notes” via your smart mirror! With the HiMirror Plus+ you can stream internet music from your Spotify playlist, which I really enjoyed. You can even order an Uber or takeout food using the Alexa voice commands!
Other HiMirror Devices
HiMirror also makes a handy HiSkin attachment that gets a closer look at your skin. It works to detect hydration and pigmentation issues, with professional level accuracy. While I didn’t have the chance to try this tool, I know that users with melanin/dry skin concerns have really loved their results.
It’s also worth noting that the HiMirror also makes their own Smart Body Scale that gives you a better glimpse into your overall health. This unique scale looks just like a bath mat, so it does’t take up extra bathroom floor space. The HiMirror Smart Body Scale integrates with the HiMirror Smart Mirror, so you can view all your health data right from the dashboard. If you are interested in the HiMirror Plus, you can even get them together as a bundle. I love using my smart scale, and if I had one that integrated with my HiMirror, I know I would enjoy using it even more.
HiMirror Review Conclusion: Should I buy the HiMirror Plus?
You’re probably wondering if the HiMirror is right for you and your beauty routine. Overall if you have some major skin care concerns like acne, or fine lines, the HiMirror is excellent at identifying issues, and helping you to get results. I personally have gotten better results with my acne flare ups using the HiMirror, than I did with the dermatologist.
Since it is in my home every day, I am much more aware of how I am treating my skin, and I get excited to use it and see how my skin is improving over time. I thought doing a HiMirror Review would make me overwhelmed by knowing so much about my skin, but I have found it to be very empowering!
Obviously if you have very severe skin issues like Rosacea or cystic acne, you should also consult a dermatologist while using the HiMirror. For serve skin, the HiMirror would be very helpful at determining progress along the path to improvement, and would make it easier to determine which medications are working.
But if you are someone who doesn’t have many skin concerns, and just want a really nice makeup mirror, the HiMirror probably has more functionality than you really need. Though that ambient makeup lighting is super useful!
The HiMirror Plus + has all the same functions as the HiMirror Plus, but has the Amazon Alexa voice feature. Since I am an amazon shopper and have an amazon prime account, I found this feature to be fun and useful- however if you are not big on using a voice command, the regular HiMirror Plus will work great for you!
So there you have it, the in depth HiMirror Review! Hope you’ve enjoyed reading about my experience using the HiMirror and Happy Mirroring!
